Steve had a four day weekend since it was Easter and all...so we decided to accept an invitation from my parents to spend the weekend at their cabin! It was really relaxing. Friday was the only day that the kids got to go outside and play really; it was sunny and warm for an April day in the mountains. Saturday we spent most of it inside since it decided to rain and snow most of the afternoon. But we made the most of it; we decorated eggs! It was really fun to watch T and Mikah. They each got 5 cups to dye eggs in...and we even had GLITTER (which was T's favorite part!).
Sunday morning we woke up to snow! Not a lot of it but enough if you know what I mean. We all got dressed and when to Alton for church. It was a little hard since they start with Priamary first and end with Sacrament; and by then the kids wee D.O.N.E.! But it was nice to be able to go.
I didn't get to the camera fast enough in the morning and T had already gone through her basket. But she loved it! She's been asking and asking for us to get her the movie "Tangled" and so when she saw what was in it she was SO excited!
Sawyer made quick work with his basket too...this is actually a picture of Mikah's basket since Sawyer ran off with his and put it some place I couldn't find it. Silly boy.
I tried to snap a picture of Teigan's face but all she wanted was to make sure that I got a picture of her movie.
We had to do our Easter egg hunt inside since there was snow on the ground. But the kids had fun! Sawyer realized that there was candy inside and would throw the plastic ones as hard as he could so that they would crack open and her could get the goodies inside! He also learned a new word..."cook" (a.k.a. cookie). Nanna taught him that one.
We all had a really nice weekend. It was nice to get away for a few days.
